Caught this guy at Brel tonight with Crash My Model Car. In his own words…

It’s been a while so here’s what’s happening for anyone that might be interested

After talking for some time about it, a collaboration between Iain Morrison (Crash My Model Car) and myself has begun to snowball. We’re making an album together called The Weather Journals, which is a mixture of many weird and wonderful things, but I don’t want to say too much about it just now.

Over a very interesting weekend we wrote over 15 tracks at Iain’s house. It felt like we disappeared beneath something and then came out the other side with an album, if that makes any sense. Anyway, It’s going to be recorded in London during the last week in May by Steve Orchard and we are hoping to get a wee tour of some kind sorted towards the end of the year.

We have already got a couple of gigs lined up, the first is in Portree, Skye and another at the Hebridean Celtic Festival (An Lanntair) so if you’re interested pop along. Also any suggetions for good places to play are welcome and may include halls, sheds, houses, playparks, beaches, boats and auction marts

Awesome Leosach verbosity from a young(er) Kevin MacNeil. Look forward to the album…

Winter Part 1

Seasamh air an acarsaid,
gaoth a’ gheamhraidh sèideadh
mun cuairt
Chi mi isean beag anns an astar,
ag itealaich na h-aonar,
‘s airson mionaid bheag
tha mi a’ dìochuimhneachadh

Standing on the harbour,
the winter wind dancing around me
I see a small bird in the distance,
flying alone.
For a moment
I forget
