The only bigot in the village

Mr Paul Johnson
13 Melbost
Borve
Isle of Lewis
HS2 0RR
(IT specialist. Keen to help with leaflet design/websites etc.)
Something about this reminds me of the Father Ted sketch…
“Oh hallo Mr Johnson, I’ve been hearing your one of them racists now. Good for you!”
Paul also has a nice sideline in making cheerful wee button badges extolling such wonderful sentiments as:
England: Love it or leave it!
There Is No Black In The Union Jack!
White Power!
…as well as some fetching SS badges, Enoch Powell Was Right! badges and the ubiqitous No To Immigration!
Lovely stuff!
Surely Mr J isn’t a white settler himself? Coming over here, taking all our racist badgemaking jobs…
Anyway, show him some Hebridean tolerance and support this local Melbost businessman today!
(UPDATE: Seems he’s moving. Hopefully back to his beautiful England.)
(UPDATE 2: He also sells eggs. Good, pure, white eggs. No brown eggs allowed.)
(UPDATE 3: He also made the following comment during the Stornoway Grey Land Rover furore: “I live on the Island of Stornoway and I am an incomer from England. This doesn’t surprise me in the slightest as they are a load of imbred (sic) weirdo’s” Which is it to be Paul – pure breeding or not? Make yer mind up!)
(UPDATE 4: Think this is the same BNP web chap who resigned last year citing corruption. You can still get your fill of his odious opinions (interspersed with weather reports and school prize day tales!) via his old website and the wayback machine.)
I’d better stop now.
Find your local racist via the BNP’s member list. The Glasgow list is about 96 strong…

Stumbled across your blog while trying to narrow down my search of the list and I have to say this entry made my laugh so much!
He’s been moaning about this place (The island of Stornoway?) for donkeys on a local forum and being vocal with his bnp views and how much he hates this place. How glad am I that he’s finally going
Crazy innit?
He moves his family to an island with it’s own history, culture, music, language, religion and way of life, sets up a successful business and is welcomed by the indigenous local people…
…and then proceeds to bang on about the evils of immigration, outsiders, incomers, lack of jobs and opportunities, loss of culture and dilution of his way of life.
Goodbye, going back home?
You cannae spread your brit nationalism in Scotland because we are Scottish not British.
Bye Bye
Keep the island to you inbreeds. You are not even proud to be scottish, so are not even worth bothering about, keep applying for your grants lol
Keep up with the free links to my website as you are generating plenty of interest and orders :-p
Amazing really how many patriotic gifts I sell so thanks again for all the free advertising
Wondered when you’d show up Paul.
Nationalism is so dull, especially when it comes couched with pointless hatred and violence. Next time I’m over, I’ll pop out to Melbost and give you a big Gaelic hug and we can talk about the beauty of Islam, interracial marriage and why sad wee men like you are the real undesirable minority in this world.
All the best and keep up the badgemaking!
I do not see any hatred or rants of violence. You know nothing of the mixing pot that the UK has become as you are so intolerant of incomers in the Western Isles. The tide will reach this island in greater numbers very soon and then you will shut up your petty bitching about the English.
I must say that I do not include mainland Scots in any of this as they know that the Western Isles is full of native weirdos. Maybe thats because they live in the real world with real problems.
I must say that I am glad to get away from sad people like you that think they are crofters or farmers in the rest of the UK. You no nothing about farming but choose to keep a few sheep just so you can live off the many grants that the rest of the UK subsidises islanders just like you. So much for island traditions, I bet the old folk are not impressed with the young lewisians behavour and their slack working ways.
Stornoway such a lovely place to visit if you wish to see a nice pavement pizza and loads of under age drinkers. Not so much a place to be proud of but a place to avoid!
The Western Isles perfect place to fit in if you are a drunk, as even the health service doesn’t know where to start.
You are more than welcome to come around and have a chat and you will see that supporting ‘British’ values does not make you a racist or intolerant of incomers. So what excuse do you have to be a racist bigot towards someone from the British Isles? Or maybe it is only the English you dislike? By your own words I beleive it is you that is the racist so take a good hard look at yourself before you go name calling.
I bet you are either Labour or SNP follower and you can see the mess they are making LOL Both of which welcome with open arms immigrants to take your jobs.
Ahh the world of badges making what joy it brings
Take a further look and you woill find patriotic gifts for Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales. Somehow I don’t think that I am intolerant.
Hello again Paul
Pointless as it is discussing anything sensibly with someone like you I’ll give you a wee reply before I go and have a cup of coffee.
The BNP to which you behold yourself is synonymous with hatred and violence. Even the briefest investigation of it’s founding, it’s current policy, the utterances of it’s leaders and members and it’s basic tenents mark it out as an angry, distasteful organisation. It baffles me that anyone, let alone a man with kids would want to associate themselves with it.
I know (it’s spelled KNOW btw, take note) plenty about the melting pot Paul, I live in Glasgow, the biggest city in Scotland. I work with Polish, Albanian, Indian, Pakistani, Irish, English and Scottish people and our customers are every colour and religion you can imagine. It’s wonderful stuff and they are all good people. However even here 95% of the population is white and the rest split across the many nations of the world. Is this the “tide” you are referring to? The violence in the city isn’t caused by this minority, it’s caused by wee white guys in tracksuits carrying knives and men your age who align themselves to Queen and country along religious lines they don’t truly believe in anyway.
Mainland Scots are as much a bunch of weirdos as islanders. And the English and Irish are weirdos too. We all are! Great isn’t it, all this diversification and unconformity? And real life doesn’t stop at the CalMac ferry terminal Paul, there are magical gadgets like televisions and computers now that allow people to experience life outside their own blackhouse door! And cars and fancy aeroplanes that can transport you to other places in mere minutes. And schools and colleges and universities to be educated in. And petrol prices and politics and technology and environmental issues and trades and commerce and retail and all the exciting aspects of 21st century western civilisation. It’s as real up there as it is in Burnley, Oldham, Essex or Kent.
Crofting isn’t farming Paul but there is plenty knowledge around, hell there’s even a Commission and a Foundation and a Parliamentary bill in action. And regarding farming subsidies in Scotland I think you’ll find it’s Grampian and the South East that are the biggest beneficiaries accounting for 70% of recipients of the top 20 payments. Argyll and the Western Isles actually receive the lowest average payments. Do some research instead of resorting to stereotype. In fact maybe try applying that little pearl of wisdom to other areas of your belief system too.
Ah the boozing, well yes we like a drink or three, you have me there. It’s both an island affliction and Scottish one. I daresay it’s one that our Scandanavian and Icelandic brothers and sisters can identify with too, it’s maybe to do with all those long dark nights and no more countries left to rape and pillage. Anyway, Stornoway is as bad as any town center on a Saturday night and I’d argue that the underage drinking is nowhere near as bad as any of the UKs towns or cities. At least there aren’t a dozen stabbings or shootings to report every Monday morning. And who hasn’t heard about us “Brits” abroad anyway, isn’t this great nation renowned for being the lager lout of the world, all Union Jacks and egg n chips? And who would provide our late night kebabs if people like you kicked all the Turks out?!
If you are still on the island I WILL come over for a chat. I mean, c’mon, how can you tell me I will see that supporting ‘British’ values does not make you a racist or intolerant of incomers. You forget I’ve read your old blog and all the bigoted guff you spouted there. No wonder you removed it from public scrutiny as it makes a mockery of you.
And I don’t hate the English at all, at all! Where did you get that silly idea from? My brother in law’s a shaven heided, card carrying Chelsea fan and my bonnie wee nephew wears the three lions on his wee chest and I love ‘em both! I do hate bigots tho, of any nationality, but I’d give them a big cuddle if I thought it would help ease their pointless burden.
So finally badges. Tell you what, to prove your tolerance and love for your fellow man how about making up some Gay, Paki & Proud badges? Or Allah Is The Man badges or how about My Other Wife’s A Hindu badge? I’d buy some of those. Failing that, for a real moneyspinner, try one that just says Fuck The BNP.
You are intolerant Paul. Of people’s sexuality, race, religion, colour and beliefs. Just be man enough to stand up and say it instead of trying to hide what is in plain sight.
Have a good day mate.
‘proceeds to bang on about the evils of immigration, outsiders, incomers, lack of jobs and opportunities, loss of culture and dilution of his way of life..’
A perfect description of the islanders. Lets be honest here, when it comes to bigotry, Western Islanders are going to win hands down. Will you wear a gay and proud badge in your church? I doubt it. Would you use the word ‘Paki’ in front of a Pakistani? I doubt it. Is it unfair to accuse someone of being intolerant when you won’t tolerate his viewpoint? I believe so.
The BNP is a collection of abhorrent individuals, obsessed by race, family and religion. Remind you of anyone?
Pot + kettle.
So you’re equating islanders with the BNP?
Bit of a stretch there but well done for trying
(BTW Judging by your email address and IP you’re the same Ben who follows all these blogs with wee boys in various states of undress? Don’t think you’ll find many folk too tolerant of that little hobby anywhere!)
‘So you’re equating islanders with the BNP? ‘. Not all of you, but most. The ‘well done for trying’ sums it up really. Perfectly encompasses the moral and intellectual superiority you tend to espouse. In truth that comment is the sort of patronising crap we in the first world have come to expect from you people.
A more bigoted and divisive society I have never seen. Yes I am equating the islanders with the BNP and argue as much as you will you cannot deny it. If anything you may be more intolerant. On another blog I posted the full list of BNP members (now deleted). How about I post a list of gay Free Church ministers on your blog? It won’t happen because an inbred and insular society can have an amazing propensity for ignoring that which it knows to be true.
Hi Ben, I’ll reply properly when I get back home, but long story short I’m not going to be called a fucking moron on my own wee blog by a paedophile. Call me old fashioned if you will…
OK, you’re old fashioned.
Ah well, this has been fun.
It’s a sad, sad day when I’m supposed to take lectures on morals, values and tolerance from a Nazi and a Paedophile.
In answer to Ben’s questions, if I went to church I’d have no issue wearing a Gay & Proud badge. If I was indeed gay I’d be proud of it and be right up for making a wee badge statement to stir things up. Yes, I’ve made some Paki jokes with some “paki” friends of mine. And some terrorist ones too. Poor humour, yes, but they can take it and dish it right back. One of them is a leading human rights lawyer and he hasn’t sued me yet. Phew. Is it unfair to accuse someone of being intolerant when you won’t tolerate his viewpoint? No. Ben, you can feel free post a list of gay Free Churchmen on your blog if you want, doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I’m sure it’s a hefty list. Personally I’m not interested in other people’s sexuality. Something I’m sure you’re glad to hear. I suspect your sensitivity to making people’s personal leanings subject to public record is to do with your predilection for little boys and I guess you’re saying a a wee non-free church prayer that the campaigns for a Sarah’s Law doesn’t come to fruition anytime soon.
Maybe you should hook up with Mr Johnson, doubtless he and his cronies would be more than happy to string you up a good ‘un in lieu of any coloured chaps coming their way.
Right, I’ve had more than enough of this ugliness and ugly people, get off my Croft and let the rest of us get back to sheep fancying and the good ol peat reek.
Peace n love.
