Once again into the impenetrable Japanese fashion breech.

While obviously our good friends in Japan have enough to contend with right now you can always rely on them to keep throwing product curveballs.

So how does a Yorkshire company like Snugpak end up making Harris Tweed garments for their market?

A connection might be the crew at London’s Silas, a favourite with the Harajuku kids who collaborated on a bag series recently. Who knows? It might be years old.

More than likely the Japanese have “adopted” Snugpak as they are wont to do and commissioned their own runs of garments in their favourite fabrics. Which means we just get to look and not touch.
