Belated Christmas felicitations to any and all readers of The Croft!
One of the odder side effects of the move home to the island is the waning drive to blog, there’s a post-coital posting ennui of sorts.
I am very happy to be here, with less than zero regrets about leaving Glasgow behind but the impetus to blog about the “experience” is just not there. I’ve probably learned and done more new things in the last three months than in the last three years but the need to shout about it from the rooftops is…lacking.
Anyway, in a super brief recap, life is being lived in the village of Bac in a beautifully renovated cottage, I’ve graduated as a Harris Tweed weaver and am working through the first of my “test” tweeds in the weaving shed at the family croft down the road. There is steady work coming in from a few sources and a lot of potential for new income in 2012.
It’s early days but right now I’m just enjoying the first festive season free from catering to the lusts of central belt libationers and coked up clubbers in 15 years and spending some quality time with Ms The Croft and family.
More to come once the mojo returns but meantime have a peaceful one wherever you are.
